Custom Home Portraits
Custom Home Portraits are commission based works done in pen and ink with watercolor. Visit the shop page for a list of price options based on size, color and details such as adding people or pets to the custom piece. Prices currently range between $300-700 for each piece. Once an original is completed, the image is saved and can be made into notecards.
Turnaround time for each piece is generally 3-4 weeks during regular season from the date of deposit (50% of the total cost). During peak season (late October through early January), turnaround time often shifts to approximately 6-8 weeks from the date of deposit.
When ordering a custom home portrait, Maggie will ask for a non-refundable deposit which is due prior to work commencing. This deposit adds your commission to the list of works to be completed. In this time, a contract will also be sent to the collector. This contract outlines legalities such as copyright belonging to the image. No image can be reproduced in any way without prior permission from the artist.
Maggie can work from photographs of homes or other subject matter if there is not a way for her to visit the property. In this case, one great photograph or multiple photos of the subject matter will need to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org for a proper recreation as art. If you choose to add people or pets to the illustration, it is imperative that Maggie receives full length (head to toe) images of these subjects. If you wish to have them drawn sitting, standing, wearing specific clothing, etc. please send images of the subjects in this exact orientation and provide Maggie with these details prior to work commencing.
You are welcome to pay through the website for this custom piece. In this circumstance, you will be paying the full price upfront but the same rules apply and a contract will still need to be signed for this piece. In the instance that you are unhappy with the completed piece and choose not to take it, Maggie will refund 50% of your payment and you will have no rights to the work.

Maggie takes a very limited number of invitation commissions a year. This is in the effort to give each one the attention it deserves! Maggie's process for wedding suite creations involves a lot of getting to know you and your future spouse. She likes to get as many details as possible in what your relationship is all about, how you met, where you plan to have parties and dinners during the wedding week, your wedding colors and overall "theme". She enjoys using every aspect of your special day and relationship in creating a suite that speaks to your love. To Maggie, the invitations should help your loved ones get an idea of what to expect on the big day. If you are unable to get together with her through personal meetings, there is the option to do all of this via phone calls, FaceTime or emails.
In terms of pricing, wedding suites start at $1000 for up to 100 printed and assembled invites including up to 4 illustrations. This price includes all baseline printing for a formal invite and RSVP cards. Ask Maggie about what types of paper and envelopes she generally chooses to show off illustrations.
If you wish to add a custom envelope liner, the cost is $350 more per 100 invites.
If you'd like to include another card featuring a personalized "map of love", this price starts at $350 but varies based on how many illustrations you'd like included.
Pricing for save the dates and thank notes usually involve only one or two illustrations runs about $350 per 150 printed cards or postcards. If you'd like to include more illustrations, each would be an additional $45.
Paper choice will make the price vary for all products discussed. For example, a cotton savoy or linen paper is more expensive to print on than a recycled smooth ultra paper.
If you are interested in creating a personalized wedding suite, please fill out the contact form or email firstname.lastname@example.org to start the process. Maggie likes to have at least 6 months notice prior to the date you wish to mail full wedding invitation suites, if possible.
